Opera on Kings Day!
We have a yearly holiday in the Netherlands where we celebrate our monarch, but also hold an award ceremony for royal honors, for volunteers and people who have done a lot of good in the world. We call it the lintjesregen, the rain of ribbons. Of course this occasion was marked with speeches, a toast and music, of course! During the ceremony I sang aria's by Puccini, Verdi and Bellini together with the Bosch Men's Choir and an ensemble. What a special feeling to be able to contribute to the festivities in this way, I never grow tired of it!
